Tanzania
Ngorongoro
Crater
We have spent two nights in the
Serengeti and will next spend two nights in the
Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The main attraction is the Ngorongoro Crater, but the drive to
get there had some great sights.
Another Masai village in the distance, and up close the gents
are having a conference.
Here is the Ngorongoro
Crater.
It's the result of volcano some 1.5 million years ago.
The crater is 20km/12 mils wide and 600 meters/2,000 feet
deep.
The bottom is like a scene out of Jurassic Park - fertile
land, lush growth, abundant wildlife - as you will soon see.
It is a virtual paradise for its residents.

Now remember, we've only seen four
of the "Big 5" - no Rhino as yet.
We'll see what luck we have in the Crater.
